NO LONGER A COMPANION

So...have you ever said never and regretted it??

When I completed CONVICTED I wrote a note at the end of the book. In that note I thanked my wonderful readers and said that the CONSEQUENCES Series was complete, to use your imagination at what the future would bring. When I wrote that, I meant every word. Then, I began writing the "Companions". The Behind His Eyes Series was meant for one thing...to answer the question "What the hell was Tony thinking?" I mean, I knew what he was thinking, but he didn't always spell it out.

The reviews for the companions have been great! I did my best to not be redundant and give you some never before seen information, behind the scenes, if you will.

Fast forward...I began writing the final "companion". It wasn't easy. I'd already given it the subtitle THE MISSING YEARS. I struggled and struggled and then BOOM! My fingers couldn't move fast enough. I was no longer only in Tony's head, but I understood that HIS meant male POV. Suddenly the story is coming at me from Brent, Harry, John, Phil, and of course Tony! The two years in Convicted while Claire is "sleeping", that we only heard about came out in these multiple men's POV's. And I love it!

It is almost 100,000 words (longer than many novels out there today). It takes the reader to places that even I didn't know about. My little "companion" grew into a novel! So...what to do? This is what I'm doing. I have renumbered my series. Consequences - Book 1, Truth - Book 2, Convicted - Book 3, and Behind His Eyes Convicted: THE MISSING YEARS - Book 4. The companions: Behind His Eyes Consequences - Book 1.5 and Behind His Eyes Truth - Book 2.5. The companions were written with love and sweat. I don't want to minimize their significance to my series. HOWEVER, THE MISSING YEARS is in a whole different category.

It is MANDATORY reading for anyone who has completed Consequences, Truth, and Convicted. I apologize for the confusion but not for the end result. THE MISSING YEARS answers every question and allows readers a first-hand experience at what was only previously mentioned...see Tony's trials and struggles with conviction. Be there as Harry figures out the connection that he doesn't want to make. Watch as John struggles with his past and present feelings regarding his brother-in-law and as Emily makes important decisions. It is ALL there! And more.

THE MISSING YEARS doesn't end with Convicted's epilogue. NO!! THE MISSING YEARS goes beyond into the lives of everyone who was affected by a man who... Once upon a time, signed a napkin that he knew was a contract. As an esteemed businessman, he forgot one very important rule—he forgot to read the fine print. It wasn’t an acquisition to own another person as he’d previously assumed. It was an agreement to acquire a soul. —Aleatha Romig, CONVICTED

  5. I'm most excited to read this one! I have loved this whole series from the very beginning. Now with the missing years to fill in the blanks from the POV's of the many very important characters who have loved and supported Claire along the way... I'm just really excited to read this. This series has really been one of the few that has really stuck with me and left me with some of the biggest book hangovers I've ever experiences. :-)
